Why the Increased Demand of Organic Food from Food Wholesalers

Food wholesalers are specialised suppliers of food goods to retailers and institutions that buy food in bulk. They sell a wide variety of food products ranging from groceries, frozen foods, meats, fish, poultry, seafood, fruits and vegetables, dairy goods and more all at wholesale prices. Those that buy from food wholesalers are usually able to have a choice as to whether they'd like their own special packaging used to wrap their bulk orders or simply have generic packaging so that the products may simply be unwrapped and cooked. Food wholesalers normally handle food processing tasks such as the peeling & cutting of goods and the packaging of the food products.

One of the most rapidly increasing markets food wholesalers have seen enormous growth in, and as a result been hit with enormous demand by, is that of organic foods. Over the last 10 years there have been a number of large chains that have emerged as organic sellers, but no matter where you look, organic food (or naturally grown foods without chemical additives) has taken off and the makers of these organic foods are doing all they can to sell them in greater quantities to the public. They're main way of getting their organic goods to the public is through food wholesalers who sell these organic items in large quantities and provide great discounts on them so that the markup on the goods makes a fairly generous profit for the retailers these days. Most of the food you see on the shelves you see in these large organic retailers is actually bought through organic food wholesalers.
There's a good reason why organic food distribution has taken off. For many years now, the food industry has consistently made new chemical substances and preservatives that turn our food products from natural to almost synthetic nutrition. Food additives are the substances put in food to alter its colour, keep it fresher longer, maintain its flavour, and to make the appearance of the food more appealing. The chemicals used today are numerous and even though all food additives in Europe are regulated by law, many experts and tests have lead to the belief that organic foods are superior to chemically modified foods.
Organic food wholesalers have been receiving more and more orders from the kind of retailers that promote the ideas like "avoid toxins" and "lower your risk of cancer". It's certain that lab tests have shown these things to be an issue in today's food supply and aside from the long term life damaging effects, the immediate effects on the body by foods modified with chemicals is also evident. Many people report a decrease in energy levels, changes in their mental attitude and affected immune response systems.
Overall, the organic food market has been expanding because people see the need for healthy life giving food that has no side effects, as food is supposed to be. So if you're in the market to buy from a food wholesaler then seriously consider organic. People are usually willing to pay a bit more to protect their health.
